Promenade is a 2D adventure game that’s heavily inspired by some of the best platformer games in the market. Here, you’ll find yourself in a world jam-packed with exhilarating explorations. However, you don’t have to worry about facing this world alone because you are accompanied by your talented sidekick: a slimy yet helpful poulp. 

As you traverse the unfamiliar land of Promenade, you suddenly see that the Great Elevator has been destroyed, leaving its essential cogs scattered all over the world. To fix it, you must explore uncharted dungeons, blast through races, and solve mind-boggling puzzles.

Restore the Great Elevator to save your world

Promenade is a fun and addictive side-scrolling video game with various gameplay mechanics. For instance, you’ll have to tickle your brain as you combat dangerous enemies to move toward the next round. Plus, there are challenging quests along the way — like recipes without ingredients, mystery treasure maps, questionable puzzle pieces, and more. Come up with the best strategies to overcome the challenges that the world will throw your way. 

At its core, the game allows you to run, jump, duck, and slide as you explore and fight random enemies along the way. You can also use your friend, the poulp—which is a cephalopod that you can throw around like a boomerang for added stealth. Moreover, it utilizes the progression structure of a collect-a-thon, a genre where you must collect large sums of in-game items to progress.  

In this case, your objective is to collect precious cog fragments to activate doors, lifts, and other machines that will allow you to explore new worlds. Regardless, you don’t need to find all the cogs to finish the game, which allows you to personalize your adventure and difficulty. However, players should be aware that the game is quite repetitive and that there aren’t many achievements to unlock along the way.
